• Time zone and account preferences
• Messages you send to our SMS companion
• Caregiver or provider information (if applicable)

Automatically collected:

• SMS message delivery status and timestamps
• Medication adherence responses (e.g., "TAKEN," "SKIP")
• Service usage logs (login times, feature access)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Send automated medication reminder SMS messages at your scheduled times
• Respond to your messages with our AI wellness companion
• Track your medication adherence and provide it to authorized caregivers/providers
• Operate, maintain, and improve the RxBuddy service
• Send account-related notifications (e.g., consent confirmations)
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. SMS Data Usage

Your mobile phone number is used solely to deliver medication reminders and wellness support messages through the RxBuddy service. We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Message and data rates may apply based on your carrier plan. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

4. Sharing Your Information

We may share your information with:

• Caregivers and providers you have explicitly linked to your account — they can view your adherence data
• Twilio Inc. — our SMS delivery provider, to transmit messages to your phone
• Anthropic — our AI provider, to generate responses to your messages (message content is processed but not stored by Anthropic for training without explicit consent)
• Amazon Web Services — our cloud hosting provider
• Law enforcement or regulators — only when required by law

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and conversation history for as long as your account is active, plus 90 days after deletion to allow for account recovery. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@rxbuddy.us.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep your credentials confidential.

7. Children's Privacy

RxBuddy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP
• Withdraw consent to data processing (this will require account deletion)
